Además de su labor en la escritura para televisión, Orteu ha dejado su huella en el mundo editorial con la publicación de varios libros, entre los que se incluyen «Doctor Soler: conflictes avançats de la parella» (Cuadernos Quema, 1997) y «Petita Enciclopèdia Catalana» (Cuadernos Quema, 1998).
